Investment Ecosystem Gaps

Yukon's innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem benefits from stronger investment readiness and clearer pathways for local capital to support impact ventures. Traditional challenge models were useful, but the ecosystem needed deeper practical learning, shared language, and investor education.

Reimagining the Challenge Format

Partners came together to reimagine the investment challenge format, opting for an in-person two-day event focused on:

  • Investment readiness for impact entrepreneurs
  • Financial foundation skills and processes
  • Investor education and learning
  • Tailored workshops to strengthen the overall ecosystem's investment capability

Outputs

  • A piloted two-day event convening entrepreneurs and investors
  • Practical workshops and shared tools for investment readiness
  • Increased connective tissue among Yukon's investment and entrepreneurship support actors

Collaborators

  • Yukon University (Innovation and Entrepreneurship)
  • Spring Activator

Design and Knowledge Mobilization

Sustainable Impact Foundation supported design and delivery through systems framing and knowledge mobilization, helping ensure the learning translated into durable capability for the ecosystem.
