Fragmented Ecosystem

Yukon's innovation ecosystem has often been shaped by operational silos, where diverse groups and sectors work in isolation. This fragmentation reduces shared progress, weakens learning loops, and makes it harder to pool resources toward common objectives.

An Integrated Approach

The Roadmap initiative was developed to create a more integrated and collaborative approach to innovation by:

  • Connecting disparate ecosystem elements into a more coherent landscape
  • Encouraging collaboration and collective action across sectors and communities
  • Pooling resources and facilitating knowledge sharing
  • Harnessing the unique strengths of community actors to support unified efforts

A key design constraint was practicality: the goal was to translate strategic visions into concrete steps that can realistically be implemented.

Outputs

  • A guide and framework that articulates system dynamics and collaboration needs
  • A shared narrative and structure for ecosystem alignment
  • Action-oriented scaffolding that partners can adapt to real-world constraints and opportunities

Systems Thinking and Synthesis

Sustainable Impact Foundation contributed systems thinking, synthesis, and knowledge mobilization to help ensure the framework supports real adoption rather than remaining aspirational.
